hello there and um welcome to part two
of my videos for
probability um this time I'm going to be
covering uh an eqo question mainly for
the grade sixes this is from the EQ 2013
book for math grade
sixes and so the question consider the
two spinners below spinner A is divided
into 10 equal sections spinner B is
divided into five equal
sections which colors of the same
probability of being spun on spinner A
as they do on spinner B justify your
answers now we see that the question
gives us the ratio 10 to 5 for A to
B let's simplify that and make it two to
one and also just to um make it one more
four to
two so now let's make a little chart
here one

so number one what we want to do is we
want
to split this up a to
B so
yellow green
red um
blue
p i mean
pink and yeah so let's
just make little sections for them
all okay so
you know what let's make this the green
section so it's a little
bigger um now for yellow A to B um let's
go back to the question there are two
yellows in spinner A to the one yellow
in spinner
B so go back and we have a two to
one that is a good
ratio let's go to
Red Now red has
four Reds in spinner A and two in
spinner B let's go back to our writing
board and write down that ratio 4 to two
that is also a good um uh uh
probability so now let's do blue
so there's one blue in spinner A and
there's uh one blue in spinner B let's
go back here and one to one does not
seem very good so it's a bad ratio won't
be
accepted what about pink one to one
again one to one so this will not be
going in the list of save probability
for um spinner A and Spinner
B now let's do green okay two and a
that's a good sign till now but B
there's absolutely no green let's go
back and write two to zero so this won't
be going in and finally I come with the
conclusion
that
yellow and red
follow the ratio A to B
SL 2 to
one so why uh yellow and red have the
same probability from spinner
A and Spinner
